20-YR-OLD GIRL ARRESTED FOR POSTING IMAGE OF STREET ART
Most graffiti artists know that social networking is one of the best ways to catch a case nowadays, with police watching FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram and more looking out for the dumber members of our “criminal” society to digitally print evidence of their “wrongdoings.” But it may be going a bit too far when people who are simply posting photos of art they see on the streets as they walk around begin getting arrested and detained for hours because of these acts. 20-yr-old artist Jennifer Pawluck was arrested yesterday after simply posting a photo she took of an anti-police image on the street.
Pawluck’s warrant states that she had ill intent toward police officers, posting the image of Ian Lafrenière with a bullet hole in his forehead, but she claims not even to know who he is. That doesn’t change the fact that she has to remain one kilometre away from any police station or Lafrenière’s home until her trial date on April 17th, though.
Check out her interview with the Huffington Post here.

Human creativity never ceases to amaze me.
Artist Vinie in Paris. Vinie’s characters usually carry a very ‘round’ feel - this time she’s used the bush for an extra kick. Check her flickr at viniegraffiti.
